88,888 Trees are roughly equivalent to  44,444 Tonnes of CO2e. The present day price on carbon markets is:

1. Low estimate ($8 per ton): $355,552

2. High estimate ($30 per ton): $1,333,320

**Important Notes**

1. When we say trees planted in your name, you do not own the trees. Instead, you own the Carbon Credit Certificate Note, that can be traded on Carbon Markets, after a lock-in period of 3 years.

2. Some prizes may not be available in all the regions. E.g. Tesla may not be available in your area, or the on-road cost of Tesla in your region may be outside our estimates of prize-pool.

3. The carbon credit value of the trees is subjected to the market conditions

4. Even though we work with reliable NGOs guaranteeing 95% survival rate, there is a little chance that not all the trees will a) be available for Carbon trading, b) survive through to the CO2e trading window in our system (under development), which opens after the tree reaches 3 years.

About Winning Tesla - The prize pool is co-created by the participants, i.e. You decide the limit of what is possible.

We are merely creating this playground of contest with the primary interest of moving the tree counter. It is not a far-fetched thought that with ~100K or so Tree+Tickets, and $1/Ticket going to prize pool, we can accomodate a Tesla for a deserving participant.

Starting 26th Dec, 2024, Coconaüts are inviting fans of Ariana Grande and Elon Musk to pledge trees for their favourite (and hence the community). While also contributing to the prize pool, which is included in the Event Ticket prices.

The goal of each side is to be the first to claim the milestone of 888888 Trees. However, it is not going to be that straight forward.

The contest is divided in 2 stages.

The First Stage: 88 days of 888888illionaire 8attle

In first stage, there are 4 Rounds of pledging, each with a limit of 222,222 Trees to pledge. In each round, one of the side will get all the Trees and all the prizes. For example:

Round #1 runs from, 26th December 2024, until 17th Jan 2025. It has a cap of 222222 Trees to pledge in total. If, let's say, Arianators get 111112 Tree pledges, and Musketeers got 111110 Trees (total of 222222), then Arianators will get all the Trees planted in a Grove Dedicated to Ariana Grande and her fan community - Arianator's Grove. And all the prizes unlocked in achieving the milestones, will be claimed only by Arianators.

So, in each round, each side is contesting for the "Winner Takes All" Trees and Prizes, and overall goal of be the first to get 888888 Trees.

Rounds for first stage:

Round #1: 26th Dec 2024 to 16th Jan 2025, round of 222222 Trees

Round #2: 17th Jan 2025 to 7th Feb 2025, round of 222222 Trees

Round #3: 8th Feb 2025 to 1st Mar 2025, round of 222222 Trees

Round #4: 2nd Mar 2025 to 24th Mar 2025, round of 222222 Trees

The Second Stage:

This is a tie-breaker-cum-celebratory round, with only 1 mega round.

After conclusion of first stage, if one side has already reached 888888, then the 5th round is a birthday celebration round and an opportunity for other side to catch up. 

Otherwise, if it is a tied at 444444 or no one has reached 888888, then 5th round is a tie-breaker round.

Round #5: 17th June 2025 to 29th June 2025, Mega round of winner takes all 888888 Trees.

**Whenever needed for tie-breakers, we will introduce surprise activities such as: posting fan-art, cryptic puzzles, social media challeges etc. 

Based on type of the prize, delivery times may be different. E.g. a) In case of commissioned art, it will be subjected to the availablity schedule of the artist, b) in case of international travel, it can depend on visa processing times c) In case of Tesla, it can depend on availability near you d) In case of Trees, it can take anywhere from 1 month to 3 months to complete the planting of trees that are part of individual prizes.

Overall, we estimate it can take from anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months in most cases. And, in any case, we'll keep you posted.

For prizes involving international travel, you must be holding a valid passport and secure the necessary visa at your end. Wherever possible we'll provide appropriate guidelines and share contacts to help you with the process.

Did you spot two key characters, 'inspired' by Ariana, and Elon Musk?

TLDR; of Thannoverse Story, if you didn't get time to read coComics.

In the fictional world of Thannoverse, Coconaüts are contemplating to partner with a sufficiently advanced Coco-being (Earth-being), when they are about to enter Earth. Especially, needing help with near-Earth space travel within the Solar System.

From their advanced observational technologies, in 1969 (Earth Time), they spotted two Earth beings hanging out on in space.

A woman (Ariana Grande) was spotted sitting on Earth, dancing with galxies and doing other crazy moves through the space. (Thannos received visuals from 'God is a Woman' and they interpreted it like any other signal from Earth)

A man (Elon Musk) was spotted taking frequent trips to various planets, starting with Mars, just to a coffee at random hours.

They infer, the woman has magical powers of creating portals, to travel across the planets, while the man has some advanced understanding of moving additional payloads (rockets, satellites, coffee and stuff), between planets, effciently.

Clearly, these looked like top candidates who seemed to posses space travel technologies. And the events looked like right time to visit Earth. As, at least this couple looked like sufficiently advanced to initiate contact with.

However, Coconaüts are also wondering which one of these have more sustainable space travel technology. They are aware of Earth's "Gas Issues" - CO2, CH4 and stuff. 

So, by planting trees, Coconaüts want to ensure, they do not add to Earth's Gas issues, and by making it a contest between Ariana's and Elon's communities - they get additional sense of their powers regarding sustainable space travel. 

As some of you already know, we already plant trees with every purhcase, typically in the customer's name or as requested. The trees are planted in partnership with reputed NGOs. The tree's location and plantation details are provided to the customer, on a digital (and sometimes) a physical card - a TreeCard®.

When we say, "Trees Planted in your name', your name is recorded and linked with the tree planted. 

It does not mean that you own the tree and/or its proceeds. 

However, slowly and surely, we are developing the technology and the right partnerships, so that, you'll be able to own the "Carbon Credits", for the CO2e offset through plantation of trees in your name. 

The Carbon Markets are also in the early stages, and we anticipate that, in 1-3 years of time, you'll be able to trade such individual Carbon Credit backed assets on the markets, like any other financial asset.

For the time being, we'll share with you a certificate and a digital TreeCard®, that will tell you your "CO2e balance" (and other impact numbers) that you earn through these trees planted in your name.

We are not an NGO. We work with NGOs and other reliable organizations for the tree planting services.

We are an early stage startup primarily composed of interns and freshers, with every one working remotely, from across the world. 

We aim to be a regular business with overall positive environmental impact towards a sustainable future, starting from the very foundation. That is why, we started with planting trees with every purchase. and ensured that, a tree counter is core part of our business metrics, and company goals. As of the start of this event, we stand at 3222 Trees, and before the end of this decade, we aim to influence planting of 77B Trees through our ecosystem.

At present we've partnered with NGOs, who plant trees on our behalf, and provide us the necessary information to ensure the transparency of planting process. For example, planting location, tree species, planting farmers, etc.

Eligibility: Open to legal residents and legal travelers visiting to India who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Coconaüts (and hence its parent company - Better Self Today Private Limited) and their immediate family members are not eligible.

Promotion/Contest Period: The event runs until it meets the target of 888888 Trees Pledged in total.
